You will always want to hit when your two cards show anything less than 12. This is because you don’t have a chance of busing under these circumstances. When you have two cards that total twelve or more, your decision gets a little bit riskier. That is when you really need to understand how to play blackjack. For instance, if the dealer is showing a face card, then you know that you are going to want to hit with pretty much anything under 17. If he is showing a 6 or a 5, you will want to stay and hope he busts.
